Description

Mindfulness meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down and fully focus on the here and now. Learn to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity and calm both your mind and body. Enjoy an interactive and educational meditation class led by an experienced yoga therapist. 


Cost $5/each class

  • Journaling as Meditation- Thursday, September 8. 5:30 to 6:30pm.  Have you ever been caught staring out into space? Day dreaming? That is the body’s natural way to meditate and allow your mind to unwind. Adding journaling to your routine can be a form of meditation. Journaling can be a powerful tool for destressing. Scientific research supporting journaling is extensive and compelling. Come have fun and learn how to starting using journaling as meditation! Journals will be provided for each participant.
  • Insomnia, Better Sleep Meditation: Wednesday, September 14. 5:30 to 6:30pm. A regular meditation practice is a powerful pain management tool. Learn to let go of worrying thoughts and relax the body before bed. Mindfulness meditation can improve sleep quality and reduce daytime sleepiness. 
  • Healing Meditation: Monday, September 26. 5:30 to 6:30pm. Meditation can be especially beneficial if you have a medical condition that is worsened by stress. Learn to rest the mind in silence and space, allowing it time to recover and rejuvenate. Enjoy increased oxygenation and blood flow, lower heart rate and blood pressure, and time to focus on your healing journey. 
  • Chronic Pain Meditation: Wednesday, October 12. 5:30 to 6:30pm. A regular meditation practice is a powerful pain management tool. Learn to regulate your response to stress by relaxing your mind and body and triggering the release of feel-good hormones.
