Massage Therapist Opportunities 

AdventHealth Wellness 

AdventHealth has a long-standing massage therapy program since 1999 (formally Shawnee Mission Medical Center). AdventHealth’s mission is to provide committed wholistic care of mind, body and spirit to those we serve. The uniqueness of our program lies in the variety of services we offer. Our contract massage therapists can work as much or as little as they like and select the “jobs” that most interest them and fit with their schedule. Our massage therapists love the variety of opportunities to choose!

We pride ourselves on safety and follow COVID guidelines in accordance with the Johnson County Health Department and AdventHealth guidelines. All appropriate forms are required from customers as well as masking protocols for therapists and clients, though face-down positions are allowed for doffing during services. Our suites have infection prevention approved ventilation systems that provide air exchange every 20 minutes. Handwashing protocols are also required. 

Service Opportunities

Massage Therapy Suites

We offer traditional massage therapy in our massage suites and provide the range of therapy that you learned in massage school:  swedish, deep tissue, sports, etc. We offer 30, 60 and 90 minute services, as well as chair massage.

Inpatient Massage

If you have a pre-natal certification, you have the opportunity to do inpatient massage for our moms on bedrest in our Birth Center. A rewarding opportunity!

Employee Massage Appreciation Events

We offer four events/year. These events are ten minute chair massage events that are complimentary for our team members, though our therapists get paid! You will receive as much love from them as you give during these events.

Department Appreciation Massage Events

Department Leaders hire our massage therapists to come to their department to offer a chair event to tell the Team how much they are appreciated. These are always feel good events.

Department Waiting Rooms 

Some departments hire our massage therapists to service the community by providing a therapist to do chair massage while they wait.

Worksite and Community Events

Opportunites to provide chair massage events to KC area worksites for employee massage events and/or community events, such as health fairs or Overland Park Farmer’s Market.

Support we Provide our Therapists

City-wide marketing to build a client base, scheduling and reminder calls, janitorial services, linen services. All you need to do is come to your service ready to go! 

Fee Structure

Therapists are paid a % of services depending on years of experience. One hour massages are $75 for community.
