This week we have been informed the FDA has sent a proposed rule to the Office of Management and Budget regarding what products they deem should be moved to the “demonstrably difficult to compound” list. We do not know for certain that bio-identical hormones are on that list, because the FDA has not shared that information with anyone; However, we do know this is exactly what they have been working towards for the past few years. This action would take away your access to bio-identical hormones by making it illegal for compounding pharmacies to make your medication. WHAT YOU CAN DO: We are, once again, pleading with you to contact all of your legislators. Flood their voicemails and/or emails TODAY!!! And then email them several times more for the next two weeks. Therefore, I am asking you to fight for my right to choose bio-identical hormones and medications that are custom compounded for my medical necessities.  One way to do that is to sign the Marshall / Baldwin letter to the FDA that will circulate in the Senate for about 2 more weeks. Another is to sign the Burgess / Wexton letter to the FDA that is circulating in the House of Representatives.  It is imperative you help block bio-identical hormones from ever being on the “demonstrably difficult to compound” list. The FDA’s actions, based on the faulty NASEM report, are dangerous to millions of Americans.
